U7 (formerly pre-novice) Conditioning Camps have been set for the 2020-2021 season.

2020-09-17

U7 (formerly pre-novice) Conditioning Camps have been set for the 2020-2021 season.

All conditioning camp times will be held at Cody Banks Arena. You must pre-register for your applicable age group. We are offering two (2), 6-year-old groups, due to higher registration numbers. Please only select one Group.

Click here to register online https://forms.gle/3rbKN8N5iBdiswhU9

Note: Schedules are subject to change based on low/high participants numbers. Therefore, keep an eye on our website for schedule change announcements.

The Association recognizes how stressful it can be for some kids in our U7 program when going on the ice for the first time. Therefore we will only offer ice times in groups of 20. This will allow one (1) Parent/Guardian to be in the facility during the U7 Conditioning Camps

If you have any questions please contact Cale Pierce, U7 Director at cale.pierce@yahoo.com

To ensure we are operating safely and following the Chief Public Health Office and Facilities, we must adhere to the following guidelines and protocols when using the facilities.

The guidelines and protocols are as follows:
  • Players U13 and younger must arrive at the arena fully dressed with skate guards or with only skates to be tied.
  • Players U14 and older must arrive at the arena at minimum half-dressed for their ice time.
  • All users may only arrive at a maximum of 15 minutes before the start of their ice time.
  • All users must leave the arena within 10 minutes of the completion of their ice time.
  • The player benches and penalty boxes will not be available for use.
  • Dressing room bathrooms may be used during your assigned ice time if needed.
  • Dressing room showers will not be available for use.
  • No Parents will be permitted in the building during the conditioning camps (capacity limits)
  • Parents needing to tie skates for players under 11 will be allowed to enter the facility one at a time to tie skates, they will then leave immediately afterwards.
  • Parents will be required to answer a COVID19 Screening Questionnaire (see below).
  • Players must wash their hands before entering the facility.
  • All players must check-in with a member of the Association before entering the rink.

As we have seen over the past couple of months, things are continuously evolving and changing as it relates to COVID19 guidelines and protocols. This will no doubt, require the Association and facilities to adapt and change plans quickly. Therefore, we ask for your patience and understanding, as we navigate through these unprecedented times. We are confident, we are heading in the right direction, for a return to hockey as we know it.

A reminder to check your child for COVID-like symptoms prior to each on-ice activity. The screening questionnaire can be found here: http://sprmha.com/page.php?page_id=122815

If you have answered “YES” to any of the questions, please DO NOT send your child to on-ice activities at this time. Consult your health care provider or call 811 to determine when you can return to on-ice activities and whether you need to be tested for COVID19

If you have answered “No” to all the above questions, you may send your child to on-ice activities.

Sincerely
